Our discovery began with an old pair of hiking boots soaked with sweat and rain from a long camping trip. It took a full week for them to dry out and though dry, the stench that remained was intolerable. We tried the typical remedies to counter the smell, but nothing seemed to work.
Our final attempt was with the all-natural solution that is now KIBOSH. To our surprise this solution removed the foul odor that stubbornly remained. After smelling similar success with our running shoes, we tried it in place of our ordinary laundry detergent. Our bicycling and running clothes no longer had that lingering odor and our bath towels lost that smell that comes from showering twice a day and not washing them as frequently as one should.
After realizing what we had, we began conducting extensive testing that also included ice hockey and baseball equipment. The biggest surprise came with a used pair of ice hockey skates (worn for 2 years without socks) and ice hockey gloves from our friend Mike. The stench from the gear was nauseating and even permeated the garbage bag used for transport. We soaked the gloves and skates in the solution and worked it into the padding by repeatedly squeezing and releasing it. After the gloves and skates dried we smelled a remarkable improvement. Mike and his teammates could not believe how well it worked!
In our testing, the all-natural solution repeatedly and consistently removed odors and residues. Unable to find such an effective product we introduced KIBOSH.
